In this edition of Spotlight, we feature news and resources from the Concrete Sustainability Hub (CSHub) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Last year, the researchers started a series of free, public Webinars that they will continue to offer this year. The next scheduled webinar, titled “Albedo, Climate, & Urban Heat Island”, is scheduled for Thursday, February 15th at 11:00 a.m. EST. The webinar is free but you must register ahead of time to participate and may do so on the main webinar page. Recordings of previous webinars as well as other resources are available on the CSHub’s YouTube page.
The CSHub publishes a regular newsletter providing updates on CSHub research, speaking engagements and more. You can view the CSHub’s most recent newsletter here where you can also sign up to receive the newsletter regularly.
Did you know that research from the MIT CSHub has helped to support important industry initiatives such as Build With Strength and PaveAhead? Their work on buildings and pavements, including work on durability and resilience, provided vital support in the development of infographics and life cycle assessment and life cycle cost analysis tools and data.
The RMC Research & Education Foundation is proud to be the founding and funding organization behind the MIT CSHub along with our partners the Portland Cement Association. Should you have any questions or would like more information on the work of the RMC Research & Education Foundation, please contact Julie Garbini or Jennifer LeFevre.
